Here's a short sample strategy, enjoy:
To Fire your guns half loaded, or even 1 gun loaded (i.e if you opponent only has 30 structure left but you dont want to wait 40 secs for the Reload).

HOLD ALT KEY, and MOUSECLICK (LMB) on the BATTERY ICON (the bit where you change your ammo type with the RMB). This will discharge any loaded cannons, it tells you how many cannons are loaded. You have to wait til it's ATLEAST 50% round the circle, this simulates the loading of Wadding etc.

So at 50% time elaspe, you will have 1 cannon loaded, at 75% of your reload cycle, you will have 50% of your guns loaded etc.
